System Analyst

Job Overview:
Our client, an innovative IT firm based in Hong Kong, is expanding into Malaysia, setting up an office to enhance support for its Hong Kong operations. As a System Analyst, you will play a crucial role in integrating DevSecOps practices within our client projects. You will bridge the gap between development, security, and operations, ensuring seamless delivery of secure and reliable systems. Our client’s clientele includes government entities and major enterprises such as banks, multinational corporations, and utilities. Roles & Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement system solutions that are secure, scalable, and meet client needs.
• Automate tasks and workflows within the development lifecycle using scripting languages and CI/CD tools.
• Integrate DevSecOps best practices into existing client infrastructures and processes.
• Identify and implement security controls throughout the development pipeline.
• Perform security testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Work with developers to address security concerns and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to development, security, and operations.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
• Document technical processes and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest DevSecOps methodologies, tools, and security trends.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a System Analyst with a strong background in programming or similar role in a system integration environment.
• Strong understanding of system analysis, design principles, and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps concepts and familiarity with security testing tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus.
• Certifications in DevOps, security, or relevant technologies (e.g., Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-service oriented environment.

Working Conditions:
Our client’s office is located in the Petaling Jaya area. The standard work schedule consists of five days a week. Even if you’re collaborating with the Hong Kong team, you’ll adhere to Malaysian holidays.
Salary Range:
MYR5,000-10,000 (depends on experience and qualification)
Candidates possessing greater experience and superior qualifications will be designated as Senior Network Security Consultants.
